Dynamic PowerPoint presentations are advantageous to businesses for many reasons. They allow companies to deliver information in a consistent and accurate way that can be easily shared and communicated. They also enhance and build on the existing visual storytelling features of PowerPoint.
For example, users can develop PowerPoint templates that can automate the generation of Sales Performance Reports. This template could pull data from Dataverse, such as sales figures, performance metrics, and more. Other templates could be designed for Financial Reports, Training and Onboarding Materials, Customer Success Reviews, Marketing Campaign Performance, etc.
With the DocumentsCorePack Template Designer in PowerPoint, users can easily make dynamic PowerPoint templates that connect with Dynamics 365 and Dataverse. With the PowerPoint Template Designer’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface, the process of creating PowerPoint templates is streamlined for users. It also saves time and ensures accuracy of the data included, reducing the risk of human error.
How it works
The process of setting up and using the PowerPoint Template Designer is quite simple and comparable to the setup for the Word Template Designer. All you need to do is activate the PowerPoint Template Designer add-in from within the Office app, open the application, and then begin creating or uploading templates. There is no download or local installation necessary. The process for inserting dynamic fields via the drag-and-drop interface is the same as the Word Template Designer, making for an easy transition.
In addition to advanced and dynamic design features, we also support generation through all available technologies, including a dialog for model-driven apps and connectors for automation via Power Automate, among others. For example, users can generate a PPTX file from the DocumentsCorePack dialog within Dynamics 365, in the same way users can generate a pdf file.
