376 views 2 Updated on January 14, 2022

Learn how to make a template backup via the Service Configuration in your Dynamics 365.

Just open your Service Configuration. If you need help by navigating to your Service Configuration have a look at this article first.

After you have selected your service, press the [import/export documentscorepack templates]-button (highlighted in yellow).

The Template Management site opens where you can manage

❶ The Import of Templates
❷ The Export of Templates
❸ The Transfer of Templates (Learn more about it!)
❹ And the Scheduled Template Backup to Azure Blob Storage with which we will deal in more detail.

Press the [Configure]-button and the Scheduled Template Backup-window opens.

❶ First you have to enable the Scheduled Template Backup and then you can
❷ Choose the interval in days (Decide how often a backup should take place).
❸ Now you need an Azure Blob Storage SAS URL. Learn here how to get one.
❹ You can optionally name a Folder AND/OR
❺ Filename for your Backup.
❻ Don´t forget to save your settings!

Please Note: Restart your service to make this changes work! It depends on your settings for the intervals how often a backup is made (in this example it is once a day).
