How to activate SharePoint in DocumentsCorePack

421 views 0 Updated on December 16, 2022

DocumentsCorePack (DCP) allows the storage of generated documents on SharePoint. This article explains the steps to enable SharePoint within DCP for both DCP Online-Services and On-Premise deployments.

Online Service installation of DCP:

Open the DCP Service Configuration (if you do not know how to access the configuration, find help here).

  • Server2Server: Press the Setup SharePoint Connection button. A new login will be required, and it may take a few moments.

Server2Server SharePoint connection setup option.

After the SharePoint Connection is set up, make sure that the Use CRM integrated SharePoint setting is enabled if documents should be stored in the CRM integrated SharePoint. Otherwise, the documents will be stored as note attachments. See Figure below.

The "Use CRM integrated SharePoint" setting.

  • App Access: First you have to register and create an Application User. Learn how to do this here.
  • App Access (custom): This article provides you with all the necessary information about how to activate a SharePoint connection for a customized App Access.

OnPremise installation of DCP:

In Dynamics 365, navigate to DCP settings and click on the General Settings tab. Make sure that a SharePoint user is specified.
