You may face checkin/checkout issues when uploading documents to SharePoint via DocumentsCorePack (DCP).
To be more specific – you may have enabled the versioning in SharePoint, but DCP is creating new documents every time instead of updating the existing ones. The documents are being generated without versioning and new documents are created with labels suffixed as (#).
For example:
- Test Document
- Test Document(1)
- Test Document(2)
By default DCP does not support versioning on SharePoint. To activate versioning, you have to enable two settings in the DCP solution in Dynamics 365. To do this, open the General Settings tab, scroll down to the SharePoint settings area and enable:
- SharePoint Force Checkin
- SharePoint Overwrite documents with the same name
