This article outlines the various features and options available in the tool bar for PowerAddons, which enable users to build and manage dynamic PPTX templates.

Open Template
The Open Template option allows you to open and edit existing presentation templates within the Template Designer. This is useful for many cases, such as needing to delete the template, edit the template name, move the template to a folder, add the template to a group, etc.

Save Template
The Save Template feature in PowerAddons allows you to save your presentation templates directly to Dynamics 365. It ensures that your templates are stored securely and are easily accessible for future use. You can name and assign the template to a specific group for better organization. Once saved, the template can be used to generate presentations.
Make sure to first ❶ name the template,, and then ❷ save the template.

Insert Fields
The Insert Fields feature in PowerAddons allows you to add dynamic data fields to your presentation template. These fields pull data directly from Dynamics 365, enabling you to create personalized and data-driven presentations. For example, after selecting your base table/entity, you can insert fields such as a customer’s name, address, or other relevant information.

Field properties
Field properties provide an overview of the attributes of each field in Dynamics 365 data. This feature helps you format fields, such as how to present date, datetime, or money fields, in your presentation.

Delete Field
In PowerAddons, the Delete Field option helps to remove a specific field from your document template. To remove a field from the template, click on the desired field and select Delete Field. This action will completely remove the field from the template.
Create Document
The Create Document option generates a document based on your template with sample data from your Dynamics 365 or Dataverse environment. This feature lets you quickly test your template and easily review the fields you have dragged and dropped, as shown in Figures 6 and 7.
Template Explorer
The Template Explorer in PowerAddons is a feature designed to help you navigate and manage your presentation templates more efficiently. The key feature is the tree view, which gives you a detailed list of fields you have added to the slide as shown in Figure 8.

Connection
The Connection option refers to the link established between the DocumentsCorePack template designer and your Dynamics 365/Dataverse environment. This connection is required to access and utilize data from Dynamics 365 to generate and process presentations.

Settings
The Settings offer various options for the TreeView, the Add-In Application, and Template Explorer. You can customize how sample data is displayed and choose the type of message dialog box you want to view and more.

Template Settings
PowerAddons offers a variety of template settings to enhance the document generation process. Know more about template settings.

The Help feature in PowerAddons guides users in navigating and effectively using the tool. It also provides a comprehensive guide, and manuals to help you understand various features and settings. These documents provide step-by-step instructions and detailed explanations.
