Automated Backup of your DocumentsCorePack Templates

In this article, you will learn how to make a template backup via the Service Configuration in Dynamics 365.

To start, open and select your Service Configuration for DocumentsCorePack. If you need help navigating your Service Configuration have a look at this article first.

After opening your service configuration, make your way to The Template Management tab, which opens where you can manage:

❶ The Import of Templates
❷ The Export of Templates 
❸ Copy Templates to Dataverse (Learn more about it!)
❹ Cloud Backup to Azure Blob Storage

Select Cloud Backup, to open up the configuration tab.

You can manage template backups in the system. ❶ Configure tab, as shown below. Here, you can ❷ enable scheduled template backups and decide on the ❸ interval in days. Make sure to set your ❹ Azure Blob Storage SAS URL. Optionally, you can set the ❺ folder and ❻ filename. You can view your backups in the ❼ View Template backups tab.

Please Note: Restart your service to make this changes work! It depends on your settings for the intervals how often a backup is made (in this example it is once a day).
