How to activate SharePoint in DocumentsCorePack

2859 views 0 Updated on July 15, 2024

DocumentsCorePack (DCP) allows for the storage of generated documents on SharePoint. This article explains the steps to enable SharePoint within DCP for both DCP Online-Services and On-Premise deployments.

Online Service installation of DCP

Open the DCP Online Service Configuration (find help here) and navigate to the Configuration tab. Click on the Setup SharePoint Connection button.

In the following window, choose either Office 365, App Access, or App Access (Custom) as the connection type. You will need to provide the required credentials after clicking Setup Connection.

Dynamics 365 Integrated SharePoint

To use Dynamics 365 Integrated SharePoint, activate the setting within the Configuration tab. This will allow documents to be stored under DocumentsCorePack’s SharePoint integration, enabling documents to be saved to SharePoint via the DocumentsCorePack Dialog.

Standalone SharePoint

If this setting remains disabled, but a SharePoint connection has been established, then you must specify a SharePoint location for generated documents to be saved to temporarily. This allows to enable the “edit” option for generated documents within the Dialog.

OnPremise installation of DCP

After installing DocumentsCorePack Server and opening the organization overview (see section 2 of the DocumentsCorePack Installation Guide), select your organization and launch the Client & Server Based generation settings under the Configurations button.

Navigate to the SharePoint tab. Enabling the Save Documents in SharePoint setting and selecting CRM Integrated will enable SharePoint in DocumentsCorePack.
